Academic Departments
The Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering provides accredited, high-quality, focused programs for students interested in earth sciences and mineral engineering. We offer small class sizes, a high faculty to student ratio and state-of-the-art facilities.

Geological Sciences and Engineering
Among the most comprehensive departments in the nation, the Department of Geological Sciences and Engineering offers 14 degrees through the support of over 25 faculty, adjunct faculty and cooperating faculty from the Desert Research Institute.

Mining Engineering
Because of its quality of instructional facilities, undergraduate majors and assigned faculty, the Department of Mining Engineering continues to be among the top ten mining engineering programs in the country.

Geography
