Prospective Students

Graduate Programs

Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees are offered in Geology, Geological Engineering, Geochemistry, Geophysics and Hydrogeology.

Within these advanced degree programs there is diverse range of more than 40 graduate courses. See Geology and Geological Engineering courses and the Hydrology Program for complete listings.

Admission

To be to a graduate program within the Department of Geological Sciences and Engineering, students must hold a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and for full graduate standing have completed at least 30 undergraduate credits in Geology and/or related fields.

In addition to Departmental requirements, applicants must fulfill all the requirements of the Graduate School.

Application Deadlines and Addresses

For Hydrologic Sciences, all applications and letters of reference must be received by Jan 10 for fall semester admission, and by Aug 10 for spring semester admission. Send application materials to:
