The Mackay School of Sciences and
Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno is pleased to offer an
exceptional commemorative medallion in celebration of our 100th
anniversary. The Mackay Commemorative one troy-ounce medallion is
.999 fine silver, mined from the Coeur Rochester mine in Pershing
County, Nevada. This medallion was struck on Coin Press Number One
at the former United States Branch Mint in Carson City, Nevada and
carries the distinctive “CC” mark on the front.
The Mackay School of Mines was
dedicated on June 10, 1908 and for 100 years has earned an
international reputation as a leader in the mineral and earth
sciences.
