Please respond with a list of three indicators for each of the following domains (12 indicators total ): Soil and Water; Social, Cultural and Economic Issues; Legal and Institutional Frameworks; and Productive Capacities. Please assign number one to the indicator that you feel is the most important within a domain group, number two to the second most important item, and number three to your final choice. As you make your selections, remember to consider factors such as potential availability of data, existing science, relevance to sustainability, etc.

To facilitate this ranking process, a table of indicators identified to date, with a blank column where you may fill in your selections, is provided in MS Word format. Click here to download the Indicator Ranking Table. If more information is needed please consult the Working Group Output files distributed with the May meeting notes.

Although responses will be kept anonymous, to assist in keeping track of replies, after completing the ranking process, please rename a copy of the attached indicator table with your last name (surname.doc) and return the renamed files to Kristie via email at kmaczko@fs.fed.us. Please reply no later than Friday, July 13, 2001. Cumulative results will be presented for discussion at the Anchorage SMR meeting, which will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, July 31 and August 1, 2001. For any additional information to assist with the indicator ranking effort please send email to kmaczko@fs.fed.us.
